Table 1
 represents all identified so far in GenBank databases HERV-K LTRs, belonging to HS family.
 Accessions are listed in the second column. Known human-specific or not human-specific LTRs 
 are labeled accordingly in the fourth column. Genomic location of the LTRs, 
 shown in the third column, was found with the use of 
 Draft Human Genome Browser (http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgGateway).

HS_family_align.rtf 
 file represents multiple alignment of 141 full-sized sequences 
 assigned by us to the HS family of HERV-K LTRs.
